Manci Rasmussen

Manci is the Assistant Director of Education at the Turtle Conservancy. She co-teaches a Field Biology and Conservation course through the lens of turtles with our partners at The Thacher School and also helps organize our outreach and volunteer programs. Manci graduated from Carroll College in Helena, MT with a degree in Anthrozoology with an emphasis on animal behavior. Manci began her career at the TC working as a keeper, but discovered her passion is teaching future generations about the importance of turtles and their conservation. In her spare time she enjoys spending time observing turtles at our conservation center and hiking with her dogs. Her favorite species is the giant Aldabra tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantea). If you are interested in learning more about our work in education and outreach, please contact her at manci@turtleconservancy.org.
