The Pritchard Collection

The Turtle Conservancy is excited to announce the integration of the Chelonian Research Institute into our family of programs. Founded and developed in 1997 by our late friend and mentor Dr. Peter Pritchard, it is one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated to the research and conservation of turtles.

His Legacy

The Institute and the work of Dr. Pritchard earned him the distinction as one of the world’s leading authorities on turtle conservation. The vast assets from his world-renowned turtle research center are being transferred to the Turtle Conservancy creating both the new Dr. Peter Pritchard Collection and a new dimension of his 50-year scientific legacy.
